Raleigh Aquarium Society

 RAS hosts an auction at monthly meetings for its members (i.e., those who have current membership per Membership & Renewal).

RAS members can bid on and purchase items, or they can bring in their own items for auction. Auctions are a good way to find interesting and unusual fish, plants, shrimp and snails, as well as aquarium-related items (live foods, bags, etc.).

To participate (as a buyer or seller), individuals must:

• be a current RAS member (per Membership & Renewal)

• have an account and be registered on mygroupauctions.com.

Once registered, you can use MyGroupAuctions to see upcoming auctions, to see the items that people are bringing, or to add your own items to the auction.

All purchased items must be paid for at the end of the meeting. We accept cash/check/credit cards at checkout.

Instructions For Joining MyGroupAuctions

1. Go to the MyGroupAuctions login page.

2. Click on the gold button that says “Register Me.”

3. Supply the requested information, enter “save” and look for your email confirmation.

4. Join the RAS group: Next to “My Groups”, click on “Join a Group” and select “Raleigh Aquarium Society” from the pulldown.

To See Items Registered in MyGroupAuctions

1. From the main/home MyGroupAuctions page, select the “binoculars” icon on the specific auction you are interested in. It will then display a list of the items registered so far.

To Register an Item in a MyGroupAuctions auction

1. From the main/home MyGroupAuctions page, select the “+” icon on the specific auction you are interested in.

2. Fill out the info about the item you wish to enter, hit save to make the change permanent.

3. All items MUST have an item number attached to them. Once you have completed entering items, you can print out labels (to cut out and tape to your item). Click on the “print” line under “Auction Items”. There are two label format (just click on them to see what they look like).
